VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, HOW YOU CAN HELP

In addition to being professionally staffed by Roof Above, there will be opportunities for volunteers to participate and be part of the Easter's Home family.

 

The main opportunity is to be a Tenant Support Volunteer. These volunteers are the welcoming presence at the heart of Easter's Home, creating a sense of community and a familiar face for our tenants. Volunteers serve in pairs when staffers are not present.

 

Volunteers are required to attend an online orientation session and an in-person training session on community building and de-escalation strategies. Volunteers will also need to pass a criminal background check and national sex offender registry check, agree to the position description, volunteer handbook, Caldwell Housing Inc. policies and procedures, and sign a liability waiver. Volunteers need to be at least 18 years old, and these opportunities are not open to those needing community service hours, court-ordered, or required for school.

 

Volunteers serve two-hour shifts to supplement staffing. Those shifts are on Sundays and Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
